Botelle hosted its annual Intermediate Authors' Tea, and the event was nothing short of inspiring! Students in grades 3 and 4 proudly presented their nonfiction chapter books about animal adaptations to an audience of parents, teachers, and classmates.
The young authors embarked on a thoughtful research journey to write their books. Each student chose an animal, read multiple sources, and answered key research questions. Using their notes and newfound knowledge, they crafted engaging, informative books that showcased their writing skills and dedication.
The highlight of the event was when each student stood up to read a chapter from their book. Families and friends listened attentively, clearly impressed by the students' growth and creativity. Mrs. Partyka, one of the teachers leading the project, shared how proud she was of their progress, noting tremendous growth in their writing abilities.
After the readings, everyone gathered for a well-deserved celebration with tea, treats, and plenty of proud smiles. It was a wonderful way to honor the students' hard work and celebrate their accomplishments as budding authors.
Congratulations to all the young writers for their dedication and creativity! Keep writing and exploring—you never know where your words might take you!
