Sweeping into Fun: Grades 3-6 Take on Curling!

Our students in grades 3-6 traded their classroom desks for curling stones as they hit the ice at the Norfolk Curling Club! It was an unforgettable field trip where students not only learned about the sport of curling but also got hands-on experience trying it out for themselves.

Guided by the friendly and knowledgeable members of the Norfolk Curling Club, the kids practiced throwing the stones with just the right amount of finesse. Of course, no curling experience would be complete without sweeping! The students had a blast learning how to guide the stone down the ice, aiming for that perfect placement in the house.

The trip wasn’t just educational—it was an amazing opportunity for the students to try something new, work as a team, and embrace a sport that’s a cherished part of Norfolk’s community spirit.

A huge thank you to the Norfolk Curling Club for welcoming our students and sharing your passion for this incredible sport. We had an absolute blast and left with plenty of stories to share!
